Comparative fixed design

Comparative designs differs from cross-sectional in that a second, comparison group is selected in addition to the originally referred one.

While relational and comparative designs may seem very different, the difference is largely in the way the study is conducted. For example, in relational design the focus may be on relations between gender and attitude, while on comparative the focus could be on differences between the two groups (male/female).
